Spring 2026 Update
Spring is here and the schedule is shifting again. The only constant is change. Here's where things stand.
Thanks to the people who keep things running
Josh and Tenielle have brought real spark to the club, especially on the social side. Timo is a constant on Champion of the Court and on so many other moments. Rick has been the engine behind much of our training and a fixture at the daytime sessions, and is currently recovering from an injury, back in June. We couldn't run Dinx the way we do without any of them.
Sunday Social: same as always, no longer hosted
Sunday is what it always has been: Sun 11:00-13:00, all levels mix, partners rotate, no fixed format. It's the slot many of you rely on, and that's not changing.
What is changing: Tenielle and Josh can no longer host on Sundays due to personal scheduling. Sunday will generally not be hosted from now on, but the time is reserved and the courts are there. Bring snacks, bring friends.
Sunday Introduction continues at Sun 10:00-11:00 for newcomers.
New: Saturday Partner Play 3.5+ (Tenielle & Josh host)
Tenielle and Josh are launching a new format on Saturdays: Sat 10:00-12:00, Partner Play 3.5+. You sign up with a partner for that session, and play as a team against other pairs throughout the morning. Your partner can be different each week, you just lock in who you're playing with for that Saturday.
If you've been counting on the social vibe Tenielle and Josh bring, Saturday is the new home for it.
The Saturday Drop-In stays in place right after, 12:00-14:00, 1 court, all levels. Bring your paddle and balls.
Joris focusing on operations
Running the club, the website, court reservations, and admin takes a lot of time. Joris is stepping back from regular teaching to focus on that side. Josh and Rick will generally cover teaching from here on.
Joris will still be present at the advanced nights, and is picking up a new Thursday early-evening introduction (more on that below).
Competitive Play (Mondays + Thursdays)
We've added two competitive sessions to give aspiring 4.0 players a clearer path:
- Mon 19:30-21:30 - Competitive 3.5+, 2 courts, max 10. For players climbing from 3.5 toward 4.0.
- Mon 19:30-21:30 - Competitive 4.0+, 1 court, max 5. Reserved for 4.0+ players. If no 4.0+ sign-ups, this court rolls back into the 3.5+ session.
- Thu 19:30-21:30 - Competitive 3.8+, max 15. The mixed advanced session for 3.8s and 4.0s playing together.
A new Spond group called Competitive is live for these. Sessions usually start with one drill on a new shot or technique, then players are placed on courts by level. The idea behind it is the same one that drives Champion of the Court: playing slightly above your level is what helps you grow.
New: Thursday High Level Introduction (18:30-19:30)
For new players coming in from other racket sports (tennis, squash, badminton, table tennis, padel) who already have court awareness, footwork, and stroke production. Hosted by Joris, max 4. Booked through the website, like the regular Introduction.
Daytime sessions: tighter court bookings
The weekday mornings are running on fewer courts to free up capacity for Mariahoeve to rent to others. Times are unchanged:
- Mon / Wed 10:00-12:00 - 1 court
- Fri 10:00-12:00 - 2 courts
Full Spring Schedule
The player maxes below are indicative. Where there's demand and courts are available at Mariahoeve, we'll rent extra courts to fit more people in.

A reminder on etiquette
A couple of things to keep the system working for everyone:
- Sign out as soon as you know you can't make it. We reserve the right to charge for the session if you don't show up, or only sign out a few hours before the event without letting us know. If you sign out close to the event, please send a quick message so we can try to find a solution.
- Pay before you play. Make sure you pay your Tikkie on the court before you start playing. We can't check every player every time, so it's your responsibility.
- Stay the whole session. If you can't stay the full session for any reason, talk to the host before signing up (or as soon as you know). Rotations and pairings only work when everyone is in for the duration, and leaving partway breaks the count for everyone else.
Sign up via Spond as always. The new Competitive group is live - request access if you're aspiring 4.0+. Both introductions (the regular Sunday one and the new Thursday High Level Introduction) are booked through the website. See you on the courts.
