New play schedule, all in one place

We have done quite a bit of tinkering on the schedule this summer. New evenings, new formats, new times. Here is everything in one place.

The rule that matters most: Spond is always leading

Read this first. The schedule below is the baseline, but the Spond event is the truth. If Spond differs from the schedule, Spond is right.

An example: during the indoor season (October through March) we play Wednesday Champion of the Court at SilverDome in Zoetermeer. When the weather is good, we simply play outside at Mariahoeve. So always check the location in the Spond event before you head out.

The weekly schedule until 1 October

  • Mon 10:00-12:00 - Morning Play
  • Mon 19:30-21:30 - Competitive 3.8+ (2 courts) and 3.5+ (1 court)
  • Tue 19:30-21:00 - Learn & Play
  • Wed 10:00-12:00 - Morning Play
  • Wed 19:30-21:30 - Champion of the Court 3.0+
  • Thu 18:00-19:30 - Competitive 3.8+ (2 courts, hosted by Joris, moved from 19:30 to 18:00)
  • Thu 19:30-21:30 - Champion of the Court, all levels (new, starts 27 August)
  • Fri 10:00-12:00 - Morning Play
  • Sat 08:30-10:00 - Early Birds, all levels (through 12 September)
  • Sat 10:00-12:00 - Open Play 3.5+ (2 courts) and Competitive 3.8+ (1 court)
  • Sun 09:00-10:00 - Introduction
  • Sun 10:00-12:00 - Sunday Social (new times since 23 August)

Saturday Drop-In Play leaves the schedule.

Champion of the Court: the fast format

On Wednesday and Thursday evenings we play Champion of the Court in a quick format. Every round is one timed game. Winners move up a court, losers move down, and partners split after every round. You end up playing with everyone, and you naturally land on the court that fits your evening.

How the 3.5+ and 3.8+ court split works

On Saturday there are two courts for 3.5+ and one for 3.8+. On Monday evening it is exactly the other way around: two courts for 3.8+ and one for 3.5+. A single court takes five players, a double takes ten.

We deliberately keep one court free, so you can still rent a court at those times. If an event fills up, we try to reserve the extra court via Playtomic. And on the day itself we stay flexible: if one level does not fill its courts, a court shifts to the other level.
